- reduced carbon emissions equal to driving more than 211-thousand gas-powered cars for a year and

Windtricity and Solartricity are CPS Energy programs that empower you to use clean, renewable energy generated by Texas-based wind and solar farms. Whether it’s for your home or business, signing up means you're supporting sustainable energy and helping reduce environmental impact. It's a simple way to make a big difference!
Windtricity: This program provides electricity generated from wind farms located in West Texas. By subscribing, you're supporting clean energy harnessed from West Texas wind turbines, which convert wind energy into power for the grid. Windtricity is available for an additional charge of just $0.01 per kilowatt-hour, making it an affordable way to support wind energy.
Solartricity: This program offers electricity generated from local solar farms. Solar energy is captured through photovoltaic panels, which convert sunlight into electricity that’s fed into the grid. Solartricity is available for an additional charge of just $0.015 per kilowatt-hour, making it an affordable way to support solar energy.
Both programs contribute to a cleaner energy system, and customers can choose the one that aligns with their environmental goals or simply their preference for wind or solar energy.

Not at all! When you enroll, your electric service and metering do not change. Your electricity will flow just as reliably as before through the same trusted CPS Energy lines.
When you participate, you're purchasing renewable energy in kilowatt-hours (kWh) from wind and solar farms in Texas. Your contribution directly supports the generation of clean energy. Essentially, you’re helping support renewable on the grid and making renewable energy more accessible for everyone.
Participation is affordable! Windtricity/Solartricity costs an additional, which is a small price to pay for the environmental benefits of clean energy. Windtricity is available for an additional charge of just $0.01 per kilowatt-hour, and Solartricity is available for an additional charge of just $0.015 per kilowatt-hour. This charge will be itemized under the "additional products and services" section of your bill, so it’s easy to track.
We make it simple and flexible for you to support renewable energy! Customers can choose a monthly enrollment amount based on the level of renewable energy they'd like to purchase.

No long-term commitments here! The program offers flexibility. You can select the amount of renewable energy you want to purchase, whether that’s offsetting all or just part of your energy usage, and you’re free to opt-out anytime.
Not exactly. By participating in Windtricity/Solartricity, you’re supporting renewable energy production and its addition to Texas's power grid. Although the energy you receive isn’t exclusively wind or solar, your participation helps offset your energy with renewable energy.
